SnapAction Privacy Policy

Summary: SnapAction processes screenshots and photos on your device by default. It does not require an account, include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, or upload screenshots, recognized text, or saved actions to servers operated by SnapAction.

1. Scope

This policy explains how the SnapAction iOS app, share extension, widgets, Live Activities, and related system features handle information. The OwlWorks website that displays this policy is a legal-document host; it is not used for screenshot recognition, synchronization, or In-App Purchase verification.

2. Information you choose to use

SnapAction may access the following information only when you select a related feature or grant system permission:

Photos and screenshots you select, share, capture, or make available to the app;
Text, dates, locations, flight numbers, tracking numbers, coupon details, and other action information recognized from those images;
Actions, pending items, and preferences you confirm and store in the app; and
Calendar events, reminders, notifications, Live Activities, widget snapshots, and AlarmKit alarms you explicitly ask the app to create.

3. Processing and storage

Text recognition and date parsing use Apple system frameworks on the device. Saved actions and pending items are stored in the app's local container or an App Group container shared only by SnapAction and its extensions. The current version does not provide a SnapAction cloud account or cross-device cloud sync.

If an original photo is stored only in iCloud Photos, iOS may retrieve it through Apple's Photos service after you grant access. Apple provides that process, which is governed by your Apple Account settings and Apple's terms.

4. System permissions

Photos: Imports or finds screenshots you allow SnapAction to read.
Camera: Captures an image for on-device recognition. SnapAction does not automatically save the capture to Photos.
Calendar and Reminders: Creates entries after you confirm them.
Notifications, Live Activities, Widgets, and AlarmKit: Presents actions you choose to follow on your device.

You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Removing permission may disable the related feature.

5. In-App Purchase and free allowance

Apple processes SnapAction Pro through the App Store and StoreKit. SnapAction reads Apple-verified purchase entitlement on the device to decide whether to unlock Pro features. The developer does not receive or store your payment-card number, full billing details, or Apple Account password. The free-save count and a local Pro display state are stored on the device using UserDefaults.

6. External links and the legal website

SnapAction may link to public airline websites or OwlWorks legal-document pages. The destination website's privacy policy applies after you open a link. When you visit a legal page, its hosting service may process network information normally required to serve a webpage, such as IP address, access time, browser type, and server logs. This information is not linked to screenshots or recognition results in the app.

7. Retention and deletion

You can delete saved actions and pending items in the app. Uninstalling SnapAction removes its local app data, subject to normal iOS backup behavior. Calendar events, reminders, or alarms created through SnapAction may need to be removed separately in the relevant Apple app or system interface. Deleting an action does not restore a used free save.

8. Sharing, advertising, and tracking

The current version does not sell personal information, track you across apps or websites, include advertising SDKs, or provide screenshots, recognized text, or action data to data brokers. If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, remote recognition, analytics, or live-data providers, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure before release.

9. Children

SnapAction is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children. The current version does not intentionally collect personal information from users or children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when features, laws, or platform requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL, identified by the page's updated date and version.
